# About me My name is Adam Switala, I am a researcher, educator, and composer. More than twenty years of teaching practice have shaped how I think about education. That work has ranged widely—early childhood, primary school classrooms, and university lecture halls, through teacher training and professional coaching, and out into community projects in several countries. What holds it together is a conviction that education is something you do _with_ people rather than _to_ them: a practice grounded in participation and encounter; an *embodied experience*, something *we* do together. *Overnotes* is where I keep the notes behind that work, open to anyone who finds them useful.
